Terms of Service

Last updated 1 September 2026

These terms cover your use of PrinterPilot at printerpilot.io (“the Service”). By using it you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the Service.

1. What PrinterPilot does

PrinterPilot suggests 3D printing slicer settings, diagnoses print failures from photographs, and lets people share models and settings in a community gallery.

2. The most important thing on this page

Everything PrinterPilot outputs is a suggestion, not an instruction. Slicer settings, failure diagnoses, cost and time estimates and generated STL files are produced automatically — partly by AI models — and may be wrong.

You are responsible for what you send to your printer. Review every setting before you print. 3D printers involve high temperatures, moving parts and mains electricity. Wrong settings can waste material, damage your printer, or start a fire.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for failed prints, wasted filament, damaged hardware, injury, or any other loss arising from following a suggestion from the Service. If you are unsure about a setting, check your printer and filament manufacturer’s documentation.

3. Your account

Accounts are created with an email address and a one-time sign-in link. Keep access to your inbox secure — anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Tell us at support@printerpilot.io if you think your account has been accessed by someone else. One account per person; don’t create accounts to get around usage limits.

4. Free and paid plans

Curated “verified preset” settings are free and don’t require an account. AI analysis and failure diagnosis require an account and are limited per month on the free plan. PrinterPilot Pro removes those limits for a recurring fee. Credit packs are one-off purchases where one credit is one AI analysis or diagnosis.

Prices are shown before you pay. We may change prices, but not for a billing period you’ve already paid for — we’ll tell you in advance of any change affecting your renewal.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Cancellation, plan changes and refunds are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Content you upload

You keep ownership of the models, photographs and text you upload. By publishing to the community gallery you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute that content as part of the Service, and you grant other users the rights described by the licence you select on the model (for example CC BY 4.0).

You must have the right to upload what you upload. Don’t upload other people’s models unless their licence permits it, and respect the terms of any model you download.

Don’t upload: anything unlawful; sexual content; gore; hate material; content designed to harass; or designs whose primary purpose is to injure people, including firearms and firearm components. Uploads are screened automatically and can be removed. Repeated violations end the account.

To report content, use the report control on the model or email support@printerpilot.io. Copyright complaints are handled under our Content & Copyright Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service; don’t scrape it or drive it through automated clients; don’t resell access; and don’t use it to build a competing dataset. We apply rate limits and may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or run up disproportionate cost.

7. Availability

The Service is provided “as is”. We aim to keep it running but don’t guarantee uptime, and we depend on third parties (listed in the Privacy Policy) who can have outages of their own. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature, we’ll refund the unused portion of your subscription.

8. Ending things

You can stop using the Service at any time and cancel a subscription from the billing portal. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. If we close your account without cause, we’ll refund the unused portion of any subscription.

9. Liability

Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) £50. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data.

If you’re a consumer, you have statutory rights that these terms don’t affect.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
